The Caribbean Risk Management Academy (CRMA) conducted a series of workshops for executive management, during my tenure as Director Corporate Services at the Water and Sewerage Authority. These workshops were meant to bring into focus the concept of managing risk as part of corporate governance. The workshops were professionally executed by Mr. Ken Hackshaw, President of the CRMA, and our management team benefitted significantly as a result. Two areas of risk which were brought into sharp focus were – excessive vacation leave accruals by managers, and supply chain risk. Our management team were also provided access to the CRMA’s online risk management portal, which served to cement the discussions during the workshops. It is therefore without reservation that I recommend the CRMA to your organization.
